RadarBI: top 10 features
1. Creating full-function dashboards in a few minutes
|
It will take an analyst no more than a few minutes to create and share a full-function
BI dashboard from the scratch in RadarBI: a minute or two to describe a data source
with a convenient wizard; another couple of minutes to place visual objects and
bind them to data; and finally one more minute to set the appearance and save your
report. Can you believe that? Watch our video!

Unique capabilities of our OLAP-controls make the analytical facilities of our RadarBI
unsurpassed. OLAP options used in RadarBI include visualizing OLAP reports both
in Grid and Chart, supporting different types of drilling, grouping, sorting, multiple
and context filtering, color highlighting of alerts and so much more!

3. Skins & templates
|
Isn’t making your report look attractive no less important than making it at all?
We’ve equipped RadarBI with a set of cut and dried styles and templates applied
to a set of widgets with data.

4. Freely Distributed Viewer
You can view interactive reports created in RadarBI Designer in our freely distributed
Windows- and Web-viewers. Moreover, our viewers can be easily implemented into any
third-party Windows or Web-application as well as almost any popular CMS, operating
on the ASP.NET platform: Sharepoint, DotNetNuke etc.
We’ve adopted such licensing policy to show our partners that we care for them:
if you purchase RadarBI Designer, you’ll be able to cell ready-made reports to your
clients or implement RadarBI Viewer into your own data system thus increasing its
competitive ability and raising sales.
5. A Clear Circle of Designing Reports
Working with RadarBI implies differentiation of the design process from the development
process. Description of a data source can be made by any specialist, familiar with
your data base structure, developing a report – by your business analyst; and the
final design of your report and setting the templates – by your designer. Thus,
on the one hand, it allows performing parallel tasks; on the other hand, get better
reports in the result due to specialization of your employees.
6. On-demand Access Data Mode
When you work with a BI report, no excessive data is loaded into the memory of your
computer or server (in case, you use a Web-solution) – only the necessary minimum
of information is loaded there. This approach allows us to economize the resources
of the client’s computer and take only the minimal time for building a report. For
a Web-platform, this approach allows us to significantly increase the scalability
of the end user solution. Besides, this approach is the best from the point of view
of security: no “superfluous” data will ever be loaded into a client’s computer,
so any unauthorized access to information is absolutely ruled out, even in theory.
7. Implementing into Your Web or Desktop Solution
Our freely distributed RadarBI Viewer – the means for viewing interactive reports
– can be easily implemented into your data system. This will give your users the
option of analyzing data with interactive RadarBI reports created in RadarBI Designer.
Thus, you have the opportunity to add to your system the power of a full-fledged
BI solution without paying a cent!
8. The simplicity of creating reports
Creating reports in RadarBI does not require any special knowledge of programming
languages. The only thing the designer of reports needs to be an expert at is his
data domain. In this case creating a report basicly means dragging widgets and data
source fields to the design panel. The realization of relations between displayed
data and interaction of the widgets used in the report will be undertaken by RadarBI.
9. The flexibility of interaction between different elements and bound data
While creating a report in RadarBI a designer doesn't have to worry about relations
between the data he is going to display. For example, if you design a table widget,
you will be able to place in it data from different data base tables; the same can
be done for diagrams as well. RadarBI will analyze the relations between tables
in the data source and find the best way of relating the displayed data.
The same goes for interactive filtering – selecting data of a widget will cause
the data displayed by the rest of widgets be filtered in accordance with the relations
between tables described in the data scheme. The designer doesn’t need to worry
about that – everything will be done automatically.
10. High level of end-users' reports interactivity
Almost all widgets used for building RadarBI reports are interactive. For example,
data in tables may be grouped, sorted and filtered; OLAP-widgets allow an end user
to get data slices of any configuration and degree of detalization. Besides, widgets
will filter data displayed in other widgets in the report accroding to relations
between tables described in the data scheme. For example, in the "Product categories
– Products - Sellers" sheme, selecting a product category in one of the widgets
will apply a filter to all other widgets that display the related data of products
and sales.
